BELONGING COMMUNITY OPTIMISM GROWTH

American Heart Association Event

Posted Date: 03/26/26 (10:43 AM)

On Friday, March 20th, the Baird PE and Health Department proudly hosted a successful American Heart Association event, bringing our school community together for a day of fun and fundraising. Students participated in a variety of engaging activities, including volleyball, soccer, floor hockey, basketball, and even enjoyed a movie. Thanks to the incredible enthusiasm and generosity of our students and families, we raised over $5,000 to support the American Heart Association’s mission!

We would like to recognize our top fundraisers from each grade:

Grade 6: Owen Reilly
Grade 7: Tyler Markewicz
Grade 8: Justin Canoa

A special congratulations goes to Tyler Markewicz, who was our highest earner, raising an impressive $556.24!

Mr. Folli extends heartfelt thanks to all the staff members who made this event possible, especially our dedicated PE teachers, Mrs. Mourao and Mr. Archambeau, student teacher Mr. Studley, as well as health teacher Deb Casagrande, who played an integral role in organizing every detail. Events like these are a wonderful way to raise awareness for a great cause while having fun and building our school spirit.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and participated!
